Then I read this article about Rand Paul's questionable ideals and this article about his opposition to birth right.
In the interview that can be seen upon clicking the second link, he says, "But I think what we should do is we shouldn't provide an easy route to citizenship."
Okay, Mr. Paul. Perhaps the road to citizenship is easy [according to you] because you've never taken it. I'm not saying that the system in place is perfect, nor is it even effective. It's just a matter of it being a lot easier for us to negatively comment on things we are ignorant to than on the things we know. Maybe that's why I find it so easy to condemn his racism--because I've never been racist.
